I love the background music, it gives authenticity to every cities and towns they visited. I was stationed in Sigonella with the US Navy, near Catania in the late 80’s for 4 years. It just gives me goosebumps. Thank you for sharing.

Imagine then he passed them on on consignment to other small guitar stores. He was giving the 250th... Why though am I thinking the squires were made in Korea . Just for fun. Let's add some context to the Ottoman invasion of Otranto. In 15th century Spain King Ferdinand and Isabella were converting Muslims and Jews forcibly as part of the Reconquista of Spain from Muslim rulers of al Andalusia. A little thing that came to be called the Inquisition. Anyone not kissing the ring of the Catholic Inquisitor was considered a heretic and put to death. The Sultan Mehmed ii was not a fan of the Inquisition and so the General Gedik Ahmed offered the citizenry of Otranto the same deal offered by King Ferdinand Isabella to non Catholics, accept Islam or else. 12,000 were massacred. Mehmed II was on his way to end the papacy and thereby save the world from Catholic Christianity. Coptic and Levantine Christians were completely welcome in all other parts of the Muslim word as were Jews and Animists. Due to the death of the Sultan Mehmed the Ottomans were forced to retreat to Albania.
